Viasatl, a Top Innovator among Satellite Broadband Connectivity Providers, acquired Inmarsat to become a strong contender in the SatCom space. Inmarsat has been focused on innovating and transforming its network, chiefly through new satellites in Highly Elliptical Orbit (HEO) and LEO, and new satellites in GEO. The upcoming Viasat-3 series is equipped with electronically steered phased array antennas that will have the capability to deliver 2,000 spot beams and a total throughput capacity of 1 Terabits per Second (Tbps) per satellite.
Viasat was named the top implementer in the Satellite Broadband Connectivity Providers competitive ranking. The company has gained substantial footing in the IFC market, providing services to United Airlines, American Airlines, JetBlue, Delta, and others.
