Open and multi-vendor networks will soon become a major deployment paradigm in cellular networks, but their complex nature will require operational processes to be more automated and intelligent. Tighter integration will likely be necessary due to the fragmented nature of these networks, meaning that platform and vendor-agnostic vertically integrated Operations Support System (OSS) companies will likely become the key component to tie these heterogeneous domains together.
