Mobile Device Shipments with Gen AI Chip

The use of AI has been one of the most important aspects of innovation in mobile devices, notably smartphones, with voice assistants and smart photos to the fore. However, the addition of Gen AI will be key to launching a plethora of applications that will restimulate market demand, creating efficiencies and improving productivity.

Shipments of smartphones with Gen AI chips are expected to increase significantly in 2024, reaching more than 90 million, accounting for over 7% of total smartphone sales. Penetration rates of smartphones with Gen AI chips are expected to reach 79% by 2032.
