It recently opened its ctrlX OS software to be used by third-party automation providers, making the solution incredibly flexible, as customers can use the company’s PLC software to not only code ctrlX CORE controllers, but also other third-party controllers that can run the ctrlX OS.

The company provides manufacturers with an incredibly flexible PLC solution supported by a wide range of apps found in the ctrlX Store that allow for the rapid design and development of automation solutions. The company missed out on a top spot due to not having a SaaS deployment option, lack of simulation functionality, and weaker low/no-code capabilities
